English Paper Pieced Star Ornament

Make a beautiful six-pointed star ornament using English Paper Piecing! In this workshop, we’ll learn the basics of hand-stitching fabric around paper templates, including glue basting, whipstitching, and creating crisp points with diamond-shaped pieces. This is a relaxing hand-sewing project and a great introduction to English Paper Piecing. 

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level:Adventurous beginner - some basic hand-sewing experience is helpful, but no previous English Paper Piecing experience is required.
  • We provide: The pattern, paper templates, studio space, tools, and expertise.
  • You bring: 6 5" charms or a fat quarter or fabric scraps, 7" of ribbon, rick-rack, or other trim for the hanging loop. Don't forget we offer  15% off any of your supplies for class.
  • Class length: 2 1/2 hours

Last minute cancellations
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place. 

Class Credits
Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will credit your gather here account.

Class Materials
All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
