Braemar Sewn Mittens

You don't have to be a knitter or crocheter to make mittens! These fleece lined mittens are a chunky pair of paw-like mittens for frosty days when it's too cold to use your fingers anyway. Makes a great gift but better yet, it's a great thing to make for yourself and then carve out some time to take a winter walk.

Level:  adventurous beginner/intermediate - this is not your first time sewing curves or making a garment.

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • We provide: thread, tools, expertise, and machines!
  • You bring:  yourself, a copy of the pattern instructions, fabric for interior and exterior, and ribbing or 4-way stretch jersey.
  • Class length: 3 hours
Online participants will:
  • Need to pickup supplies prior to the class session.
  • Receive a Zoom invitation link the morning of the workshop.

Last minute cancellations
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place. 

Class Credits
Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will credit your gather here account.

Please email us at with any class cancellation requests. A reply email will have your credit info attached.

Class Materials
All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
