Belmont Bag - 2 sessions

This durable, all-fabric bag converts from tote to backpack and can be tucked away inside the matching zipper pouch for easy carrying. It features convertible fabric straps, a two-compartment exterior pocket, French seams, extra-strong stitches for durability, and boxed corners for plenty of carrying capacity. Not only is this the perfect bag to throw in your suitcase, it makes a fabulous gift!

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level:  Adventurous and Confident Beginner/Intermediate .  You know how to thread a machine, sew a straight line and wind a bobbin.  You’ve made your fair share of tote bags and zipper bags.
  • We provide:  Tools, thread, expertise, and encouragement!
  • You bring:  Yourself, a copy of the pattern, materials as listed on the pattern, and coordinating thread. Don't forget that we offer 15% off all materials purchased for our classes.
  • Class length:  3 hours each session.

Class meets Thursday, December 3 and 10 at 5:30 PM

Online participants will:
  • Need to pickup supplies prior to the class session.
  • Receive a Zoom invitation link the morning of the workshop.

Last minute cancellations
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place. 

Class Credits
Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will credit your gather here account.

Please email us at with any class cancellation requests. A reply email will have your credit info attached.

Class Materials
All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
