Today, the tradition has been passed down to the Mizusawa and Morioka regions in northern Japan, and the castings produced in these two areas are collectively known as Nambu Ironware. We source from Oisei Foundry, who started operations in Mizusawa in 1923 and has maintained a tradition of innovation and excellence, giving new form to an ancient art.

Each paperweight can also be used as a pen holder for up to 4 pens or scissors.
