Exploring various techniques such as the Japanese Hapazome: smashing the organics directly into the fabric, directing printing: laying the organic pieces flat and rolling the fabric onto a rod, and blanketing: a resist technique. We will work with tannin rich plants and mordanted fabric to achieve clear, crisp prints. In this 3 hour workshop you will learn the basics of eco-printing including how to prepare your fabric and use local foraged plants and flowers as your dye material.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLimited to 8 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet.
